Originally known as Project Forward, the Fort Worth GE Transportation facility was created to build locomotives. Originally it was the Evolution Series Tier 3 (ES44C4) for BNSF. The project included two locomotive transfer tables, service pits, extensive rail system in the building, and designed as a hazardous occupancy building.
